Family-friendly: Children of students eat for free in the canteens
Children under the age of eleven, so called “MensaKids”, accompanying their enrolled parent are allowed to eat for free in the canteens of the Studierendenwerk Vorderpfalz (Association for Student Affairs of the Anterior Palatinate) in Germersheim, Landau, Ludwigshafen and Worms.
With its campaign ‘MensaKids’, the Association for Student Affairs enhances the child friendliness of the university. Are you interested? You only need your student ID/Certificate of Enrolment and a copy of the child’s birth certificate or the family register. Hand in the filled outform and the documents, take your MensaKids-card with you and off you go to the canteen.
- To obtain the card, you need to fill out an application form. This application form (in german) is issued by the social services/day care centre department. The card cannot be transferred. It is valid only for the canteens of the Association for Student Affairs of the Anterior Palatinate
- A copy of the birth certificate and a copy of the Certificate of Enrolment of the enrolled parent has to be attached to the form
- The child shows his or her valid card at the serving counter
- If the enrolled parent buys a meal, the child’s meal is free and will be served on a special MensaKids plate .
